Volunteer Needs From: Axe of Service

Join NAU's Center for Service and Volunteerism to set up the 9/11 Flag Memorial Field to honor the 2,977 people who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.  We set up the flags at Flagstaff City Hall's lawn as a visual representation of the lives lost, sacrifices made, and a place to reflect on the events of that day. 

This is a family-friendly event and children are invited to participate. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move easily and place the flags in the ground. 

Join NAU's Center for Service and Volunteerism to remove the 9/11 Flag Memorial Field to honor the 2,997 people who lost their lives on 9/11/2001 and later as a result of their injuries.  We set up the flags at Flagstaff City Hall's lawn as a visual representation of the lives lost, sacrifices made, and a place to reflect on the events of that day.  Volunteers are needed to help remove the flags on the evening of 9/11.
