Volunteer Needs From: Axe of Service

We are excited to host our Sippin' with the Symphony fundraiser at Wiseman Aviation on Saturday, August 29th, and we need volunteers to help make it a truly lovely evening.

 Volunteer Needs:

1. Event Set-Up 

SHIFT 1: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Saturday 8/29)

SHIFT 2: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM (Saturday 8/29)

Set up 250 chairs and 63 heavy tables for the event. (SHIFT 2; 6 volunteers)

Set up table linens, decor, place settings, and silent auction. (SHIFT 2;6 volunteers)

Need: 12 volunteers total

2. Parking Attendant | 5:00–6:00 PM

Hang 6 accessible parking signs on the back fence.

Assist patrons as needed, especially by accessible parking spaces

  Need: 1 volunteer
3. Registration + Hosting | 5:00–6:15 PM

Registration: Scan tickets / provide assigned paddle numbers to guests. (Note: Check-in requires use of a smartphone to scan tickets. FSO will provide the login credentials needed to check in attendees.) (6 volunteers)

Hosting: Mingle with guests, offer water/soda at the outside registration area, and assist where needed. (3 volunteers)

 Need: 9 volunteers total 

4. Cuisine + Drink | 5:30–8:00 PM

Monitor food tables and assist patrons.

Mingle with guests and assist with drinks/food where needed.

Monitor and refill coffee station

Need: 9  volunteers

5. Water/Bussing Tables | 5:30–8:00 PM

Pour water to patrons throughout the event

Buss dishware and trash from tables 

Need: 6 volunteers

6. Live Auction Recorders | 6:30–7:30 PM

FAST PACED! Record bidder numbers for paddle raise and live auction.

Need: 2 volunteers

7. Event Clean Up | 8:30–9:30 PM

Tear down event decor, chairs, and tables.

Remove trash, sweep the floor, and clean all areas.

Please bring your own container if you wish to take home any remaining food from the event. Need: 10 volunteers
