Volunteer Needs From: Axe of Service

Volunteer: Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Volunteer - Flyer Distribution for Light Upbound

Do you love music? Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra (FSO) is celebrating its 76th season, and we need you to help make our April community concert a success!

The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra is looking for assistance in distributing flyers for our upcoming April Light Upbound concert.


We will have flyers of various sizes available for pickup at the downtown FSO office Monday, March 30th, 1:30pm-4:30pm. We’d love to have them distributed as early as that day, or no later than Friday, April 3rd

A list of our usual distribution locations can be found below. If you’re available to help, please reply to this email with your preferred locations or area, and I will provide further distribution instructions.

Your support means a great deal in making these events a success—thank you in advance!

As a thank you, volunteers who assist with hanging flyers in a full area will receive one complimentary ticket to the performance.

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity is looking for volunteers to help at the upcoming Undergraduate Symposium on April 24th at the High-Country Conference Center.  Come volunteer as an Oral Presentation Moderator!Oral Presentation Moderator will do the following:
- Introduce and organize speakers, ensuring all are in attendance
- Keep speakers and any questions on schedule
- Notify HCCC staff of any AV equipment problems
- Note presenters that did not show

The Foster Alliance provides jewelry and accessories both in our Essential Needs program and in Birthday Dreams bags for children in foster care. Handmade beaded friendship bracelets are a great way for children to feel loved/special and to express themselves. Volunteers must provide the materials to make the bracelets. Please read and follow instructions carefully! Once you have competed items, please bring them to SBS West Rm. 6 on NAU campus.

A variety of beads & charms Elastic String Scissors

Instructions

Cut string to desired length (be sure to leave enough room to tie it off at the end) Tie one bead onto the string Slide other beads onto the string until it reaches desired length Grab both ends of the string and tie bracelet togetherReturn completed bracelets to The Foster Alliance by appointment or mail at 5200 E Cortland Blvd Flagstaff, AZ 86004
