Volunteer: Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Volunteer—Link Up Performances

Do you love music, and seeing the joy it brings to children? Every year, Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra (FSO) brings music education to children in grades 3 through 5 in northern Arizona through our Carnegie Hall Link Up program, and we need your to help make our March 3rd Link-Up concerts a success!


 

Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra is looking for volunteer ushers for the Tuesday, March 3rd morning concerts.

Volunteers will be assisting Ardrey Auditorium staff with ushering visiting school groups to their seats, showing guests drinking fountain and restroom locations, monitoring for unwanted behaviors, and helping guide students to safety during bus pick-up/drop-off and in the event of an emergency. 


As a thank you, each volunteer will be able to attend the Link Up concert at which they are volunteering. Thank you for helping us bring music and education to our community!

Volunteer: NAU Part Time Opportunities Fair Set Up

Volunteers will meet at the NAU Fieldhouse lobby near the vending machines.  We will meet you there and give you instructions.  You will assist in setting up the recruiter check-in area, setting up the student check-in area, setting up floor signs, table signs, table linens and setting out other event supplies.  The Campus Events staff will set up all the tables and chairs, but we may need your help moving them around slightly.

We also need volunteers for the fair day as well!

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity is looking for volunteers to help at the upcoming Undergraduate Symposium on April 24th at the High-Country Conference Center.  Come volunteer as an Oral Presentation Moderator!Oral Presentation Moderator will do the following:
- Introduce and organize speakers, ensuring all are in attendance

- Notify HCCC staff of any AV equipment problems

Reviewers:- Role: A reviewer provides guidance, expertise, encouragement, and motivation to student research presenters. We ask reviewers to provide constructive feedback on student presentations and positive reinforcement so that students can get clear guidance on their presentation communication skills to validate and motivate them to persist in their research, scholarly, or creative path. No research experience or expertise required! Reviewers provide feedback on a student's presentation skills.

The Foster Alliance provides jewelry and accessories both in our Essential Needs program and in Birthday Dreams bags for children in foster care. Handmade beaded friendship bracelets are a great way for children to feel loved/special and to express themselves. Volunteers must provide the materials to make the bracelets. Please read and follow instructions carefully! Once you have competed items, please bring them to SBS West Rm. 6 on NAU campus.
