Who We Are

We are a dedicated collective of community members and leaders, united under a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, headquartered at the historic Murdoch Center. Our mission is to foster a vibrant, inclusive community by preserving our rich heritage while providing essential services and opportunities for growth. As stewards of the Southside neighborhood, we work to uplift and empower our community, creating spaces where residents can connect, thrive, and celebrate our shared history and future.

What We Do

At the Southside Community Association, we strive to strengthen the fabric of our community by preserving the unique heritage of the Southside neighborhood and fostering resilience for future generations. Through the historic Murdoch Center, we serve as a hub for community engagement, offering a range of services including youth development programs, food security initiatives, environmental sustainability efforts, and health and wellness events. We also lead partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and residents to promote social equity, emergency preparedness, and cultural celebration, ensuring that everyone in our community has access to the resources they need to thrive.
