Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona

Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona is a nonprofit housing organization, founded as the Affordable Housing Coalition in 1990 through the grassroots efforts of local citizens concerned about the lack of affordable housing in the Flagstaff community. We expanded from an advocacy organization to one that focuses on programs designed to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing.

Our mission is "Building opportunities for sustainable, affordable housing in northern Arizona" and our vision is that "All residents will have access to safe, decent and affordable housing with an opportunity for upward mobility."

Housing Solutions works to create pathways to housing stability and long-term self-sufficiency for households in Northern Arizona. Our programs include transitional housing and resident case management through JoJo’s Place and Sharon Manor, providing 73 affordable, transitional, rental units for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, including survivors of domestic violence. We also own and manage 57 permanent affordable rental homes, condos, and apartments for low-income households, as well as 29 workforce housing apartments at Western Hills Apartments. In addition, Housing Solutions provides first-time homebuyer education and housing counseling and administers down payment and closing cost assistance - through this program, we have helped more than 500 households achieve homeownership.
