Description

Do you have a story mulling about in your head that you can't wait to get out? Characters from your favorite story floating around in your mind that you're itching to write dialogue for? Gone through a significant moment in your life that you want to share with the world? Put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboards!) during our FREE playwriting workshops!

Local playwrights Hannah Johnson and Matthew Windham will lead three workshops, designed to guide you as your dip your pen into the ink of your playwriting journey! Perfect for playwrights of all levels—no matter if you are brand new to creative writing, looking to hone in on specific moments of a script in progress, or if you are a seasoned creative.


Tuesday, March 10: 6:00pm - 8:00pm, led by Matthew Windham

Monday, March 16: 5:30pm - 6:30pm, led by Hannah Johnson

Monday, March 23: 5:30 - 6:30pm, led by Hannah Johnson


Matthew's workshop will focus on writing adaptations of stories for the stage.

Hannah's workshops will focus on writing solo and autobiographical shows. If you attend Hannah's first workshop, it is recommended, but not required, to attend her second, and vice versa.

Workshops are presented in conjunction with To Be Young, Gifted and Black, presented by Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival and The Black Theatre Troupe, performing in Flagstaff from March 27-29.
