The Flagstaff Police Department is looking for volunteers to assist with our department’s Active Assailant training. Volunteers would be used to simulate an occupied business or school when an attack happens. Other officers would be playing the role of the “bad guy”, and our volunteers would be the innocent people that the Police Officers attending the training will have to save. The volunteers could be asked to scream and yell, run around, flee from the building, or play dead. This would be to make the training for the officers as realistic as possible.
This training will be over the course of three days (June 17th, June 18th, and June 20th). We will have 2 four-hour training sessions each day (8am – 12pm and 1pm – 5pm). You may sign up for the whole day or for only one training session.
Any help provided is greatly appreciated and is extremely valuable in providing realistic training for our officers to increase their effectiveness in the event of a real-life incident
