We have a special opportunity coming up on Saturday, September 6th as we participate in the Climb to End Cancer, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. For this event, we’ll be helping a cancer survivor “climb” up Snowbowl Road in our adaptive hiking chair, Rosie—a 7-mile journey with a 2,000-foot vertical climb. It’s a challenging route, and we need strong, committed Sherpas to make the impossible possible for this survivor.
Volunteer Sherpa: A dedicated helper who uses strength, teamwork, and compassion to guide and push others beyond their limits—making outdoor adventures possible for those who couldn’t experience them on their own.
Not only will you make a powerful impact on someone’s life, but you will also have the chance to be part of a meaningful community event that raises awareness and support in the fight against cancer. And don't let the physicality of this endeavor intimidate you...because "many hands make light work" and every volunteer finds that it's easier than it looks. But if a Hiking Sherpa is just not your thing...we also need Basecamp Sherpas, the friendly faces at the information booth, connecting people to the mission of Luke5Adventures for the Flagstaff community.
