In support of the Willow Bend Environmental Education Center, we care for a dozen small native plant gardens representing local habitats. Along with routine gardening tasks, we are boosting the gardens' resilience to climate change by preparing them for 40 more shrubs and trees to increase shade and screen the wind. In October, we'll plant those shrubs and trees and add more native forbs and grasses. The gardens are a tranquil oasis for the surrounding diverse neighborhoods as well as a place to learn about our area's climate, native plants and animals, and the challenges of gardening here. Gardening tools, gloves, and supplies are provided. https://www.coconino.az.gov/692/Elizabeth-Liz-C-Archuleta-County-Park
