NAU Student Volunteers Only

Thrifty Thursday will be a one-day initiative in the spring semester aimed at promoting resource-sharing, waste reduction, and clothing repair among the NAU student body. The event will leverage items student donated/provided gently used donations, offering them to students for free, and will feature a mending, upcycling and repair station in collaboration with the NAU Fashion Club, Campus Living, and Green Jacks.

The event is showcasing NAU Office of Inclusion’s Breaking the Binary Closet, where students can claim clothes and accessories for free- organized by size, not gender to promote inclusive and affirming shopping experiences for all students.

Volunteers responsibilities will include organizing clothing donations by size, handling donations, sorting items, and tasks as needed in the Office of Inclusion on NAU’s campus on March 5, 2026 for the event that runs 2 PM-7 PM.
