Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are long term volunteers who look out for the best interest of children who have experienced abuse and neglect. They help ensure children are placed in safe, loving and permanent homes. Volunteers do not need experience and will go through an interview, background check and 30 hours of pre-service training before working directly with foster children to get to know their needs, advocate for them, and write recommendations for the judge.
