Expired

Description

Girl Scouts build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. At Girl Scouts - Arizona Cactus-Pine council, the purpose of the GS Impact team is to empower and uplift the Girl Scout Leadership Experience by providing equitable access to a safe space where girls can celebrate their unique self. Through working in partnership with communities, families, and volunteers, we aim to overcome barriers and develop an inclusive environment for girls to champion change in the world.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Program Coordinator and Program Specialist in delivering quality Girl Scout program experiences to girls at our Flagstaff Program Center. A Girl Scout Program Center is a safe space that welcomes all girls (K-12th grade) from the surrounding community to participate in Girl Scouting. This program is designed as a space for girls, and those who support them, to learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE).

As a volunteer, you may be responsible for the following:

- Support set up and check-in.

- Partnering with GS Impact team to facilitate program activities with girls.

- Provide support to engage Tag-a-longs (younger siblings who may not be eligible to participate in Girl Scout activities).

- Help parents/trusted adults accompanying girls to practice facilitating activities with the girls.

Important Note: All Girl Scouts - Arizona Cactus-Pine Council volunteers are required to register as adult members and complete a background check.
