Are you, your organization or company looking for a volunteer opportunity? Community Assistance Teams of Flagstaff’s Pop Up Care Village for unsheltered relatives, neighbors and friends is looking for volunteers on September 29th between 7 and 5 for two or more hour shifts!
Volunteer roles:
Set up: This role involves welcoming event partners, helping set up event decorations, and helping partners set up tables and pop up tents at designated areas of the park.
Event hosts: This role involves helping event participants find resources using the provided map, and helping event participants find the registration table. These hosts will have access to event organizers for any questions or concerns and security will be available onsite.
Take down: This role involves helping event partners take down tables and tents, and helping partners carry supplies to vehicles.
Shifts:
7-11 set up
11-3:30 event hosts
3:30-5 take down
10-3 - Serving food (buffet line)
What’s a Pop Up Care Village for unsheltered relatives? C.A.T's P.U.C.V. is a celebration to create community and provide assistance to our neighbors and friends living without housing. On September 29th from 11-3 at Bushmaster Park C.A.Ts will be serving chili and the best fry bread (courtesy of master fry bread maker, Lillian Harvey, with help from our own Pam Jensen and Larry Morgan) in town .Our partner agencies and businesses will be offering entertainment, wellness activities, and distributing desperately needed goods, services and more.
Through community we can cross the divide and break the stigma of homelessness, accept cultural and racial differences and create greater understanding for a better future for all of us.
